Diagnosis:
Sclerites adpressed, parallel to longitudinal body axis on trunk and posterium or only on posterium. Planes of sclerite base and blade flat, or blade slightly curved towards body (
Fig. 17J
); base and blade not obviously offset or at an angle to each other or rotated relative to each other. Longitudinal axis straight, isochromes symmetrical or nearly so. Waist indentation shallow, sometimes indistinct. Blade with short or long medial keel, edges straight or more usually convex, blade width about same width as base at waist. Oral shield sclerites in two rows.
