This species is known from northeastern
Arizona
,
Utah
, northern
New Mexico
,
Colorado
, and
Wyoming
. It is characterized by a shiny, slightly more cordate pronotum than other members of the group, without notable basal punctuation, relatively flat elytral intervals, with small punctures in the elytral striae, and distinctive male genitalia. As first revisers, we choose
B. sarpedon
Casey
as the valid name of this species.
