Taxonomic remarks:
—This species is characterized by the large angular pores (2–3 per mm), pale whitish brown pore surface when fresh, and cylindrical basidiospores, 4–4.5 × 1.5 µm (Ryvarden & Iturriaga 2003). However, the Brazilian specimen has a cream to beige pore surface which becomes ochraceous upon drying. Further, it has slightly different basidiospores (4.5–5.5 × 1.25−2.5 μm) than reported in the original collection from
Venezuela
