Relation to host.
Large yellow spots present on the upper leaf surface. Erinea present underneath the leaves (
Figs. 4
&

).
Etymology.
The specific designation
kunmingensis
is derived from the place name, Kunming City, where the new species was collected.
Differential diagnosis
. This species is similar to
Calepitrimerus octophyllaus
Huang & Wang 2004
which was collected from
Schefflera octophylla
(Lour.) Harms
, but can be differentiated from the latter by the appearance of the prodorsal shield with admedian and submedian lines (prodorsal shield without admedian and submedian lines in
C. octophyllaus
), empodium 4-rayed (empodium 6-rayed in
C. octophyllaus
), coxal plates with granules (coxal plates smooth in
C. octophyllaus
).
