Diagnosis . Head with subocular margin strongly recessed; accessory flagellum with 3–5 articles; labrum without epistome; mandible palp article 2 longest; article 3 subovoid; uropod 1 peduncle with strong inter-ramal spine; uropod 3 rami longer than peduncle, outer ramus with small second article, inner ramus with short stout terminal spines. MALE: coxa 1 smaller than coxa 2; gnathopods 1 and 2 of similar size; gnathopod 1 palm without spine; gnathopod 2 basis heavily swollen, propodus palm defined by a spine; FEMALE: gnathopod 2 more robust than gnathopod 1. In L. spinosa Ren, 2006 , mandibular palp article 3 has a comb of short setae along its posterior margin (absent in Ledoyerella ) and the maxilliped palp article 2 is very elongate, 3 × as long as broad (about 2 × as long as broad in Ledoyerella ). The male gnathopods are unknown. For the moment the allocation of this taxon to Ledoyerella must remain unconfirmed.
