Ecology: —Locally common; pendent epiphyte, rarely on fallen trunks or on the ground, in humid forests; 200– 1200(2450) m. Pleopeltis disjuncta M.Kessler & A.R.Sm., Candollea 60(1): 274(-275, 285), f. 2A-C. 2005. Range: —Central Peru to Bolivia (LP, SC). Ecology: —Fairly common; epiphytic in semideciduous forests; 800–1500 m . Notes: —This species was called Polypodium furfuraceum Schltdl. & Cham. [= Pleopeltis furfuracea (Schltdl. & Cham.) A.R.Sm. & Tejero ] in Peru by Tryon & Stolze (1993) , but we consider that species to be restricted to Mexico and Central America.
