Diagnosis.
Wing length
1.6–1.8 mm
. Head and face yellow; first flagellomere yellow, somewhat brownish, greatly enlarged in male; mesonotum predominantly black, with spot almost reaching scutellum; scutellum yellow with one pair of brown lateral spots; calypter greyish, fringe black. Aedeagus (Fig. 256 and
257 in
Spencer & Stegmaier 1973
): basiphallus slightly sclerotized with membranous extension distally; mesophallus and distiphallus fused, with two shorts, diverging apical tubules and broad lateral plate-like extensions.

Comments.
This species can be easily differentiated from the other
Liriomyza
species by the greatly enlarged male first flagellomere.
