Remarks.
Excepting the north,
M
.
pygmaea
was found in all the regions of the country. It lives at the edge of both slowly and moderately quickly flowing streams with aquatic vegetation, but also in lentic water bodies. It occurs at altitudes ranging between 20 and
300 m
a.s.l. (

), sometimes co-existing with
Microvelia reticulata
.
