Ecology: —Common; terrestrial and on rocks, forming colonies, with creeping stems bearing erect or suberect “fronds”, in semihumid forests and forest edges; to 1200 m . Notes: —Distinguished from similar articulate species by having a single large peltate auricle (vs. one or sometimes two lateral smaller auricles) at the base of each medial leaf and by the whitish margins on the medial and lateral leaves (vs. greenish).
