The species develops in the subcortical rotten wood of different deciduous trees (

) infested by fungi. The most widespread and comparatively common representative of the family in the
Kaliningrad Region
, occurring in parks, suburbs, and forests. Widely distributed and occasional in the Region. The species is considered “least concern” at the European level (

).
