Pantothenic acid, niacin, riboflavin, biotin and p-aminobenzoic acid are essential for the growth of all or the majority of the strains tested [ 170 ]. Two subspecies are recognized: Loigolactobacillus coryniformis subsp. coryniformis and Loigolactobacillus coryniformis subsp. torquens .
