Notes. In the most recent revision of the family for the Caribbean (
Otte & Perez-Gelabert, 2009
) the distribution of this species is restricted to Hispaniola.
Gundlach (1891)
and
Rehn (1909)
previously recorded it from
Cuba
, and there are several specimens identified with this name in the CZACC and Zayas collections. A more detailed examination of those Cuban specimens should clarify whether they belong to this species.
