Diagnosis. Combination of the following characters: R 1 weakly sclerotized; aedegal sheath with a large expanded sclerotized arch subapically; aedeagus with a symmetrical group of long and thin spines only, similar to M . ( M .) garota ; female hypoginium large at base, strongly narrowed before apical lobulae. Material examined. Type material: holotype : BRAZIL , Bahia , Ituberá , 12.vi.2002 , col. F. Bravo ( MZFS ) ; Paratypes 3 ♀♀ same data . Distribution. Brazil ( Bahia ). Holotype condition. Slide mounted, over clarified, antenna incomplete. Remarks. Bravo & Lago (2003) stated that R 1 doesn’t reach C; however, based on our examination of the type material, it actually does. See remarks of M . ( M .) garota for a complete differential diagnosis.
