(MACN-In 40672). Description. Shell height to 2.5 mm (up to 3.05 mm according to Ponder & Worsfold 1994 ); elongate-conical, moderately solid. Protoconch large, of 1.75 convex whorls, microscopically sculptured. Teleoconch of up to 3.5 whorls, markedly convex in outline; last whorl comprising about 55% of total shell height. Suture impressed. Surface whitish, translucent in well preserved specimens; sculptured with 3 to 5 primary spiral cords per whorl, and 5 or 6 additional cords at the base; interspaces with delicate spiral threads. Aperture ovate, laterally expanded towards the base, interior white; columellar callus moderately thick, slightly reflected. Operculum ovate, paucispiral; yellowish, translucent.
