(Figs. 9, 31, 50, 69, 87, 115, 133, 180–183) Diagnosis . Antennomere III with flabellum as long as antennomere III. Pronotum with posterior angle fairly straight down. Mesosternum with posterior margin acute. Abdominal sternum V with posterior margins straight. Colouration . (Fig. 9) Integument dark-brown. Pronotum with disc from dark-brown, dark-brown with lateral macula light-brown, to entirely yellowish-brown. Pronotum with expansions pale yellow. Elytron with suture and marginal 1/4 pale yellow. Mesosternum yellowish-brown. Head . ( Figs. 31 , 50) Fronto-clypeus discreetly depressed up to antennal sockets, anterior margin 2x wider than distance between antennal sockets and slightly wider than distance between antennifers. Antenna with 35–37 antennomeres (n=3); antennomere III as long as pedicel, flabellum as long as antennomere III. Labrum with anterior margin straight or rounded. Maxillary palpomere IV 2x longer than III, 1/3 longer than labial palpomere III. Gular sutures as separeted as maxillary palpomere IV width. Thorax . (Figs. 69, 87) Pronotum with lateral margins arcuate and divergent posteriad, posterior angle acute and weakly projected, fairly straight down; setigerous punctures irregularly separeted 0.5– 1x the diameter of a puncture. Hypomeron 2x longer than high. Scutellum with lateral margins convergent posteriad. Elytrons subparallel-sided; marginal costa with anterior margin projected. Mesosternum with posterior margin acute. Abdomen . ( Figs. 115 , 133 , 180–183 ) Abdominal sternum V with posterior margin straight. Abdominal sternum VI with lantern as long as 3/4 sternum length and as wide as 1/2 sternum width. Abdominal sternum VII with lantern as long as 4/5 sternum length and as wide as 3/5 sternum width. Abdominal sternum VIII with posterior margin straight. Pygidium with median lobe slightly acuminate, as least 3x longer than lateral lobe, as wide as 3/5 posterior margin width; indentation between lateral lobe and median lobe developed. Terminalia: Syntergite with anterior margin acuminate and posterior asymmetric; suture between abdominal tergites IX and X conspicuous. Abdominal sternum IX 2x longer than syntergite, oblong, 2x longer than wide; wider at posterior 1/3; lateral margins divergent posteriad up to 2/3 sternum length, bristled at posterior 1/3; anterior margin sinuous. Aedeagus: Phallobase asymmetric. Parameres basally constricted, divergent posteriad. Paramere and phallum apically rounded. Phallum 1/4 longer than paramere, ventral plate straight, apical expansion less sclerotized. Type-material : Holotype : BRAZIL . Santa Catarina : Florianópolis, XII/[19]57, Tavares and Y . Lane col. The specific epithet is the gentilic name of the Florianópolis city and neighbor insular provinces, where this species dwells. Remarks. Amydetes manezinha resembles A.agnita (Fig. 1), A. discissa (Fig. 3) and A. fastigiata (Fig. 4). The differences can be found in the Remarks section of the respective species.
