Paired polyps (occasionally three); 8 rows of polypar scales: 2 abaxials (3–13 scales), 2 left lateral (6), 2 right lateral (6), 2 adaxials (4). Clavate polyps with a taller operculum than the marginal ones, marginal ones without or with a slight spine.
