In Italy, it is widespread in the whole country (Sicily and Sardinia included), but often discontinuously ( Baroni et al. 2018 , Iorio et al. 2019 , Massa et al. 2012 ). Notes It is a hygrophilous species, often living in brackish habitats ( Fontana et al. 2002 ). In Italy, it seems to be in decline ( Iorio et al. 2019 , Massa et al. 2012 ).
