Head with a distinct, tumid postocular portion, eyes separated from anterior margin of pronotum but not stalked; distiflagellum at most slightly longer than (0.8–1.3 times as long as) pedicel; scutellum with a distinct Tshaped carina, adjacent lateral foveae with large, coarse, confluent punctures; metathoracic scent gland provided with well developed, protruding peritreme; fore femur unarmed ( Péricart 1999 , Gao et al. 2013 ). Distribution and diversity. The genus is distributed in the Palaearctic, Afrotropical, Oriental and Australian Regions and currently contains 18 described species ( Gao et al. 2013 ). An additional new species is described below.
