Identification.
Test oval; tapering posteriorly to blunt end, sunken towards peristome. Interambulacra V slightly inflated, hood above periproct. Sub-anal fasciole conspicuous in juveniles, less so in adults.

Remarks.
Differs from
Pourtalesia alcocki
in lacking the distinctive keel running along the upper side and hook above periproct. The labrum and sternal plates of
U. naresianus
are not separated, as in
P. alcocki
.
