Diagnosis . Body pale without pigmentation. Eyeless (no ommatidia) ( Fig. 2 H). Remarks. Paraplatyarthrus subterraneus is distinguished from other described Paraplatyarthrus species with a combination of characters including a pale body with no pigmentation, no ommatidia in cephalothorax and a delimiting line in maxilla 2. The body length varies between 3.0 and 3.8 mm . It is restricted to a single calcrete aquifer, Laverton Downs, Eastern Murchison region, Western Australia .
