Remarks.
This disjunct distribution (
McInnes 1994a
) and a recent discussion on the synonymy of
Doryphoribius flavus
and
Doryphoribius citrinus
by
Lisi (2011)
confirmed the need to re-examine older reports.
Lisi (2011)
stated, “(...) the records of
D. flavus
in
South
America, in
South
Africa
and in
Bali
are incorrect. This means the geographic distribution of
D. flavus
requires re-evaluation (...)”.
