Diagnosis
. Small worms,
40–80 mm
by
4–5 mm
. Colour red-violet, paler on ventrum. Male pores on 15 small. Clitellum on ½29, 30–37 tubercles on 30–37. Nephridiopores aligned just above

. Two pairs of testes enclosed in 10 perioesophageal, and in 11 suboesophageal testis sacs. Vesicles in 9–12, those in 11 small, sometimes completely missing. Spermathecae five pairs, in

Remarks
. This small
Octodrilus
species shows same clitellar positions as
Oc. transpadanus
, however differs from it first of all in the presence of red-violet pigmentation and the aligned nephridial pores.
