Imago (Fig. 62): Wingspan
14–15mm
. Head whitish; labial palpus with segment 3 long and pointed; maxillary palpus pointed, whitish; antenna dull orange. Thorax whitish. Forewing base creamy white; narrow fuscous subbasal fascia darker on costa and dorsum; broad orange-brown median fascia; narrow fuscous postmedian fascia followed by a white trapezium in costal half of wing; termen orange interrupted by white costal strigula; silver-grey tornal spot. Hindwing base mixed white, yellow and fuscous; broad white median fascia, double dark fuscous subterminal line; five black terminal eyespots separated by orange-yellow streaks, each bearing two metallic blue spots; inner half of cilia dark fuscous.
Male genitalia (Fig. 114): Uncus tapered; gnathos ¾ uncus with spines on either side of dorsal surface; valva with costa slightly arched, specialized seta arising from middle of termen, bent at right angle after a short distance, then reaching back ¾ length of valva. Aedeagus simple.
Female genitalia: not examined.
Tympanal organs: Venulae strongly waisted and continued either side of typmanal organs.
Diagnosis: Differs from other
Eoophyla
species
in the broad white medial area of the hindwing, together with the broad white irregular postmedian fascia on the forewing.
