The wasp grasped the immobilized armed spider by the base of its left chelicera, dorsal side upward, and, dragging it, walked backwards on the ground ( Fig. 4 ; Steamer 2020 ). The wasp grasped the immobilized wolf spider by the bases of its chelicerae with her mandibles, maintained it dorsal side upward, and walked backwards across a hard-packed gravel path or road ( Guerrero Salazar 2021 ).
