KUW fieldwork, scuba diving 15–30 m , collapsed edge reef, 1 female (LC 2.0 mm), MNHN-Na 17563. Distribution. Type locality Misaki, Japan . Other records need to be verified. Remarks. In his revision of the species, Hayashi (2009) confirmed the records of Bruce (1970, part) . The other records under the name Palaemonella spinulata Yokoya, 1936 before Hayashi (2009) might be confused with other species of the genus such as P. m a z i w i Bruce, 2002 and P. longidactylus Hayashi, 2009 and need to be verified. The only female specimen agrees well with the redescription and illustrations of Hayashi (2009) . The species was not previously recorded from Mayotte with certainty. The specimen was collected together with 1 ovigerous female of Cuapetes ensifrons (Dana, 1852) (MNHN-Na 17562), 1 female of Harpiliopsis depressa ( Stimpson, 1860 ) (MNHN- Na 17561), and 1 ovigerous female of Harpilius consobrinus De Man , 1902 (MNHN-Na 17560) at Station 23.
