USNPC: 84817, 91515. Remarks: Many species of Haematoloechus were synonymyzed with H . varioplexus by Kennedy (1981) . Based on morphological and molecular evidence, León-Règagnon et al . (2005) re-established the validity of these species and the close phylogenetic relationships of H . varioplexus with H . parviplexus and H . colorandensis .
