Remarks.
The male terminalia of
Scatella
are highly specialized with a uniform shape of the epandrium, having a simple, obclavate outline, reduction of the phallapodeme, and enlarged ejacapodeme. The gonites are narrow and bear an antero-dorsal claw-shaped projection and the aedeagus is weakly sclerotized. Thus the use of male terminalia for species recognition is limited.
