Grammatophora undulata Ehrenberg ( Figs 61–64 ) Synonym: Grammatophora marina var. undulata (Ehrenberg) Peragallo & Peragallo. Type locality: fossil in den Kreidemergeln Griechenlands , lebend zwischen Seeconferven bei Vera Cruz, Mexico . Morphometrics: Valves 50–60 (30–90) μm long, 8 (6–12) μm wide, and transapical striae 15–16 (14–20) in 10 μm. Remarks: Grammatophora undulata is distributed in coast of warmer oceans, and, in Europe, only in the Mediterranean ( Hustedt 1931 –1959, Witkowski et al. 2000 ). This taxon occurred in Dongsha Islands, the northern South China Sea ( Yan et al. 2009 ), in coral-reefs and farmer-fish areas of Guam Island , and in other areas, Society Islands, Puerto Rico , and Mahé Island of the Seychelles ( Lobban et al. 2012 ), in Guadalupe Island of the western coast of the Baja California Peninsula, Mexico ( López-Fuerte et al. 2015 ), and in the Caribbean Sea of Colombia ( Vidal et al. 2017 ). It is a typical tropical taxon in warmer coasts. This species was found very rarely along the Seogwipo coast in Jeju Island, representing a new record for South Korea .
