Ecology:— Local and uncommon; submerged aquatic to emergent, in shallow, nutrient-rich (llama dung) seasonal pools on rock outcrops, to 0.2 m water depth; 4420 m . Notes:— Megaspores 0.28–0.43 mm in diameter, tuberculate, rarely almost smooth or rugulate; microspores 34– 43 μm long, echinate; 2 n =44.
