Description.
Male.
Head
. Brown, antenna unicolorous pale brown, maxillary palpus pale brown. Eye bridge 3 facets wide. Face with 17 scattered longer and shorter setae. Clypeus with 5 setae. Labrum elongated. Maxillary palpus with 3 palpomeres; palpomere 3 longer than palpomere 1, palpomere 2 shortest; palpomere 1 with 3 setae, with a dorsal patch of sensilla; surface of antennal flagellomeres rough, flagellomere 4 (

A) 1.5x as long as wide, the neck shorter than broad, the longest setae shorter than the width of flagellomere.
Thorax
. Brown, setae dark. Anterior pronotum with 3 setae. Episternum 1 with 8 setae. Scutum with short dorsocentrals, with 5 stronger laterals, scutellum with 2 longer and some short setae.
Wing.
Hyalinous. Length
2.2 mm
. Width/length 0.40. Veins distinct. R1/R 0.90. c/
w 0.65
. r-m and than bM subequal in length, both r-m and bM non-setose. Halter pale brown.
Legs
. Brown, slightly paler than thorax. Coxal setae pale. Apical part of front tibia,

B: front tibial organ with pale fine vestiture forming a small patch. Front tibial spur slightly longer than the tibial width. Claws with teeth.
Abdomen
. Pale brown, setae dark.

Gonocoxa
longer than gonostylus, mesial margin with short sparse setosity, basal part twith dense setosity.
Gonostylus
slightly curved, with the mesial side impressed; with a dense apical vestiture, with some sharp straight mesial megasetae at about the middle of gonostylus, with a long subapical whiplash seta. Tegmen broader than long, laterally straight, with a distinct sclerotized finger-like process.

Etymology.
The name is Latin,
spicata
, furnished with spikes, referring to the spike-like gonostylar megasetae.
