Onukia flavopunctata Li & Wang 1991 : 61 –62, Fig. 22 , plate VIII, 5. Orange yellow with dark brown markings on disc of crown. Thorax and forewings as in Figs 2 O–P . Face thoracic pleura, sterna and legs without dark brown markings. Male genitalia . Pygofer longer than height, narrowed posteriorly and posterior end slightly curved ventrally, ventral margin in posterior 0.33 concave. Subgenital plate slightly widened beyond distal half with prominent scattered macrosetae, posterior end rounded. Style elongated, apophysis strongly convoluted, not foot-shaped, with a few setae on subapical lobe. Connective long, stem much longer than arms. Aedeagus with dorsal apodeme well developed, dorsolateral lobes short without process, shaft short, with pair of basal processes visible in lateral and posteroventral views, shaft apex with its dorsal margin ventrally produced, gonopore apical, in posteroventral margin, proximal region of aedeagus compressed, ventral extension of atrium and ventral marginal angular projection wanting. Segment X as long as pygofer, tubular, pigmented without process or prominent setae. Measurements. Male 5.1 mm long, 1.0 mm wide across eyes and 1.1 mm wide across posterolateral angles of pronotum. Material examined. INDIA : Himachal Pradesh , Kasauli, 1850m , 61 Km NE Chandigarh , 12.ix.1985 , C.W. & L. O’Brien, Berl. Mus. 1992-118 ( BMNH ). Remarks. This species can at once be distinguished from other species of Evacanthinae found in the subcontinent by its characteristic coloration in addition to the structure of the pygofer and aedeagus.
