Diagnosis.
BL>
2 mm
; head, pronotum and elytra dorsally with moderately dense, long setae which are erect on elytral disc; tempora weakly narrowing posteriorly and then rapidly bent posteromesally; pronotum strongly rounded at sides, broadest at posterior third; pronotal base with transverse groove; parameres not broadened in subapical region.
Description.
Body of male (
Fig. 3
) strongly convex, elongate, with moderately long appendages, BL
2.08 mm
; cuticle glossy, uniformly dark brown, vestiture slightly lighter than cuticle.
Head (
Fig. 11
) weakly narrowing posteriorly, broadest at eyes, HL
0.50 mm
, HW
0.35 mm
; vertex and frons confluent, evenly and weakly convex except frons in front of eyes which steeply declines anteriorly, posterior margin of vertex strongly projecting posteriorly as rounded lobe about as broad as 1/3 of HW; tempora nearly straight in anterior 3/4 and bent at an obtuse angle posteromesally in posterior fourth; supraantennal tubercles barely marked; eyes large, finely faceted and weakly projecting from silhouette of head. Punctures on vertex and frons very fine and inconspicuous; setae moderately dense, long, suberect, additionally posterior margin of vertex and tempora in their posterior portion with dense, long bristles. Antennae slender, AnL
1.20 mm
; all antennomeres except III elongate, III about as long as broad; antennomeres VII–XI forming indistinctly delimited club, antennomere XI as long as IX and X combined, slightly more than 2.5 times as long as broad, and strongly flattened.
Pronotum (
Fig. 11
) in dorsal view broadest near posterior third and strongly rounded, PL
0.50 mm
, PW
0.55 mm
; base with long but faint transverse groove. Punctures and setae on pronotal disc similar to those on frons and vertex; sides with thick bristles.
Elytra suboval, broadest distinctly in front of middle, EL
1.08 mm
, EW
0.88 mm
, EI 1.23; apices separately rounded. Punctures on elytral disc inconspicuous; setae long and strongly erect but moderately dense.
Legs moderately long and slender; protrochanter unmodified.
Aedeagus (
Figs 21–22
,
29–30
) stout, AeL
0.40 mm
, in ventral view drop-shaped with lateral margins gradually convergent toward apex; endophallus with four long sclerites with unmodified apices (
Fig. 51
); parameres not broadened in subapical region.
Female
. Externally indistinguishable from male; BL
2.25 mm
; HL
0.50 mm
, HW
0.35 mm
, AnL
1.20 mm
; PL
0.50 mm
, PW
0.58 mm
; EL
1.25 mm
, EW
0.93 mm
, EI 1.35.

.
Etymology.
Locotypical, after the
type
locality Forest Fortuna (Latin Silva Fortuna).
Remarks.
No other species of
Rhomboconnus
has the pronotum strongly rounded at sides, broadest in posterior third, and at the same time with long setae covering its disc.
Euconnus silvafortunensis
can be also identified on the basis of its head weakly narrowing posteriorly, but with a strongly projecting posteromedian portion of vertex; strongly flattened antennomere XI which is about as long as IX and X combined; and the head length equal to the pronotal length.
