Description.
Adult, length (male): body 15.0–
15.2 mm
(not including antenna, n = 2); wing 18.6–19.0 mm (n = 2); antenna 16.0–
16.2 mm
(n = 2).
Head.
Brownish-yellow with rostrum darker in coloration laterally. Nasus brownish-yellow, densely covered with black setae. Eye black. Vertex without marking (
Fig. 14
). Antenna: 12-segmented, distinctly longer than body; scape and pedicel light yellow, first flagellomere light brown at base and gradually changed into light brown, rest flagellomeres light brown, each flagellomere cylindrical, subequal in length, with abundant black verticils. Palpus light brown.
Thorax.
Pronotum yellow (
Figs. 15, 16
). Prescutum yellow with three light brownish-yellow stripes, the median stripe narrow at base and gradually broadened towards apex, the lateral stripes oval (
Fig. 15
). Scutum, scutellum and postnotum yellow (
Fig. 15
). Pleuron entirely bright yellow (
Fig. 16
). Legs very slender, coxae and trochanters yellow, femora yellow basally and gradually changed into light brown, tibiae and tarsi light brown. Halter with stem yellow, knob slightly darker. Wing pale brown, cell sc not darker than ground color, stigma dark brown (
Fig. 17
). Sc slightly shorter than R
3 in
length, petiole of cell m1 slightly longer than m-m, discal cell narrow (
Fig. 17
).
Abdomen.
Segments one to five yellow with black lateral stripes, segments six and seven suffused with black. Hypopygium yellow (
Fig. 18
). Tergite nine truncated at posterior margin, covered with many black teeth, ventrallateral portion of tergite nine with a pair of lobes, which are densely covered with black teeth at apex (
Fig. 19
). Sternite broad with a V-shaped notch medially, with many long setae on lateral corner of sternite nine (
Fig. 20
). Outer gonostylus narrowed in the middle region, truncated apically, equipped with numerous small black teeth at apex (
Figs. 22, 23
). Inner gonostylus flattened, narrowed medially, terminated into an acute end (
Figs. 22, 23
).
Semen pump with compressor apodeme V-shaped (
Fig. 24
). Posterior immovable apodeme with one median arm and two broad membranous extensions at lateral sides (

is mostly similar to

Men, 2016 by the color of body, the shape of antenna and the structure of hypopygium. It can be easily distinguished from the latter by the tergite nine which is lacking of finger-shaped processes.
T. similis
has its tergite nine bearing two finger-shaped processes (Men

Etymology.
The specific epithet is an adjective which derived from Latin ‘
terga
’ with ‘
