Rostrum 1.7–2.1 times as long as carapace, with basal region horizontal or slightly upturned but lacking ventral notch, curved slightly and directed dorsad, armed with 36–46 dorsal and 25–33 ventral teeth, rostral teeth somewhat well-spaced and with posterior 10 ventral teeth corresponding to 8–10.5 dorsal teeth; abdominal 6th somite with longitudinal dorsal groove more or less pronounced; 3rd maxilliped without epipod, penultimate segment 1.3–1.55 times longer than terminal segment, two segments combined 1.1–1.35 times as long as carapace; 2nd pereiopods subequal without epipod, bearing 18–26 carpal articles ( Chan & Crosnier 1991 ). Distribution. Known only from Bay of Bengal at depths of 10–50 m ( Rajool Shanis et al. 2012 ).
