The female of
Cerceris odontophora
is similar to
C. bupresticida
except for the following: the downwardly curved posterior edge of S
5
without lateral teeth, slightly indented or rounded medially (S
5
trilobed, with lateral teeth, and more or less pointed denticles medially in
C. bupresticida
); propodeal enclosure smooth and shiny (
Fig. 14D
), rarely with arched longitudinal or transverse wrinkles at base (propodeal enclosure conspicuously longitudinally ridged at basal half, smooth posteriorly in
C.bupresticida

)or sometimes entirely longitudinally ridged (
