Palpal formula 4/2. Pronotum almost bare, crossed by track of transverse impression ( Fig. 202I ), with anterior collar shiny, unsculptured; disc dull and slightly alutaceous. Mesoscutum shiny, with numerous longitudinal striae, without lateral pointed apophyses. Mesoscutellum shiny, smooth, flat. Metapectal-propodeal disc shiny, covered with thin short setae, with top and anterior surface unsculptured; propodeal declivity, meso- and metapleuron transversely striate; top of metapectal-propodeal disc with short track of longitudinal furrow. Mesometapleural suture obsolete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 12:2:3:15:21. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 203F ) with one small subapical tooth and one row of seven peg-like setae + one bristle. Protarsomere 5 ( Fig. 203F ) with short serrated inner proximal portion and one row of 25 lamellae; apex with approximately nine lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1. . Unknown. Material examined . Type : holotype : YEMEN : Ja’ar , 13°13’N 45°18’E , 50 m , 15.I.2001 , A. van Harten leg. ( MOLC ). Hosts . Unknown. Distribution . Yemen. Remarks . Because of the presence of the track of the transverse furrow on the pronotum, G. yemenensis can also be included in group 7, where it is similar to Gonatopus mosseli Olmi 1984. However, the subapical tooth of the enlarged claw of G. yemenensis is farther from the apex ( Fig. 203F ) than in G. mosseli ( Fig. 233E ).
