Distribution: Eastern and central North America. Specimens examined: One hundred thirty from 27 collection events; questionable female identifications: two from two collection events. Flight period: December through May in southeastern U.S. ; May through August in northern areas. Remarks: Most Microctonus species treated here with relatively large eyes are sexually dimorphic with the males having smaller eyes. Both sexes of M. pachylobii however have similarly large eyes.
