Distribution: Eastern and central North America.
Specimens examined: One hundred thirty from 27 collection events; questionable female identifications: two from two collection events.
Flight period: December through May in southeastern
U.S.
; May through August in northern areas.
Remarks: Most
Microctonus
species
treated here with relatively large eyes are sexually dimorphic with the males having smaller eyes. Both sexes of
M. pachylobii
however have similarly large eyes.
