( Mexico ) Comments: Thomas & Yonke (1981) gave the distribution of this species as “entire U.S. , northern Mexico and southern Canada ,” but they did not give any specific state records. Wheeler & Krimmel (2012) stated “ Hart’s (1919) record of Banasa sordida from Maine might be a lapsus for Massachusetts because the latter state was noted to be the sole New England record ( Parshley 1917 , 1923a ).”
