Material examined. 1 male ( INIOC2-17 S) intertidal zone, 3.13 mm , Djod , Gulf of Oman ( 25°27’0.00” N , 59°30’36.00”E ), May 2015 . 1 male ( INIOC2-18 S), intertidal zone, Djod , Gulf of Oman ( 25°27’0.00” N , 59°30’36.00”E ), May 2016 . Remarks. Barnard & Karaman, 1991 designated Plumithoe based on Ampithoe plumicornis Ledoyer, 1979 . Poor & Lowry (1991) accepted it as Indo-west Pacific genus and considered having setose articles 3–5 on second antenna as diagnostic character. The material of Iranian coasts agrees with P. madagascariensis Myers, 2012 based on the characters of second male gnathopod and first coxa. Myers (2012) studied Micronesia samples and reviewed Plumithoe hirsutus records that were described as variation of Ampithoe pollex by Ledoyer (1978) . Based on Myers (2012) , Ledoyer (1978) samples belong to P. hirsutus . Also he assigned Ledoyer (1982) records of P. hirsutus as a new species of P. madagascariensis .
