Comments.
Roubal (1919)
described
Ennearthron ondreji
explicitly based on
one male
. The differential diagnosis in the original description is missing. There is only information that
E. ondreji
is of the same size as
Octotemnus glabriculus
(
Gyllenhal, 1827
)
and that it does not resemble any known species. The examination of the
holotype
showed that it is a dark-coloured male of
E. cornutum
, which is a widespread species whose colouring varies from light brown to almost black. Consequently, I propose the following new synonymy:
