Of these, Hoffman (1999) considered the synonymies of Trigonostylus Broelemann, 1898 , Peltido Chamberlin, 1940 , and Oncodesmoides Kraus, 1954 to be valid. He rejected the synonymies of Cyliocyrtus Cook, 1898 and Oncodesmus Cook, 1896 as invalid because they were “…not based on adequate knowledge of the two respective type species and they are reinstated (even if as nomina dubia ) until more substantial information about their characters is forthcoming ( Hoffman 1999, p.501 ).”
