Holotype , CHINA : Fujian , Shaxian, 1980 ( N.Q.Lin ) sweeping (FAFU). Host Unknown. Distribution China ( Fujian ). Comments Coccobius maculatus is close to C. bifasciatus (Ishii) in antennal colour and metasomal markings, but differs from the latter as follows: all legs pale; mid lobe of mesoscutum largely with slightly longitudinally reticulate sculpture; metasomal terga laterally with distinct and non-continuous dark areas. In C. bifasciatus the legs are pale brown except the apical part of all tibiae; mesoscutum mostly with somewhat transversely drawn-out cells; gaster with rather sharply defined brown to black bands on sides from base to at least the cercal plates.
