Morphometrics:
Valves 51 (25–80) μm in apical length, areolae 3–4 (4–5) in 10 μm.
Remarks:
Triceratium reticulum
was found predominantly in marine littoral areas of tropical and subtropical oceans (
Hustedt 1927
–1930,
Hendey 1964
,
Witkowski
et al.
2000
). This taxon was reported near Vero Beach of Florida (
Mahoney & Gibson 1983
), from the southeastern coast of
India
(
Rajasekar
et al.
2005
,
Sahu
et al.
2012
). It was listed in the diatom catalogue of the Caribbean Sea (
Navarro & Hernández-Becerril 1997
). It was reported rarely from the western coast of
Korea
in the past (
Shim 1994
), and occurred very rarely along the Seogwipo coast in
Jeju
Island.
