Exp. 51.62, leg.? 19.VII.1962 , 1 Ƥ (cB). Description . Body brown reddish, shiny, 11 mm long; length from anterior margin of head to posterior margin of elytra: 5 mm . Similar to Eachamia corusca Bordoni, 2005 from Queensland, but wider, with bigger head, wider and protruding eyes. Head with a big puncture near the internal margin of eyes; two punctures in parallel laterally, under the eyes; some punctures at the inferior margin of head; all the punctures with long and erect setae. Pronotum wider than that of E . corusca and robust, covered by very fine micro punctures, with oblique anterior margins and rounded anterior corners, slightly sinuate sides; elytra bigger, wider and longer, sub rectangular, with only 3 series of deep and scattered punctures, with humeri strictly rounded and sub parallel sides. Tergite and sternite of male genital segment as in figs. 13–14. Aedeaagus (fig. 15) moderately large ( 1.6 mm long), with asymmetrical robust parameres; internal sac large, with fine scales. Distribution . Known from the type locality on the Bismarck Island. Etymology . The specific epithet is based on the type locality. Notes . This is the first Eachamia species known from the Bismarck Island.
