This species is collected in many localities in the west of Kanto district, hence those records are omitted. Additions to description. On head, setae aa , pa and m4 present, sensilla as and ps present ( Fig. 53A ); seta sp 1.4–1.5 times longer than p ; sensilla pp rudimentary. Labral setae present. Seta rs inflated, shorter than sr ( Fig. 53B ). On maxillary palpus ( Fig. 53C ) sensillum md longer than ml . On galea ( Fig. 53D ) digit O slightly longer than M and I. Mandible with two teeth ( Fig. 53E ). On hind tarsus ( Fig. 53F ) D2 and D4 spine-like; D4 more slender than D5 . Tracheal camerae distinctly distally contracted ( Fig. 53G ). Central lobe constricted in middle ( Fig. 53H ). Laterostigmata II–IV distinct, without inner structure. On abdominal tergite VIII ( Fig. 53 ) P1a' simple without basal dilatation and anterior to P2 ; P2a linear. Distribution. Japan (Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tobishima, Sado, Yakushima, Okinawa , Iriomote, Yonaguni, Izu–Ohshima, Miyakejima and Hachijojima Islands).
