The close resemblance between this species and the Canarian species R. tenuivittata Santos Abreu, 1920 was mentioned by Chandler and Ribeiro (1995) . A comparative diagnosis of these and two other apparently very close species R. cottii Tollet, 1959 from Switzerland and R. tolleti Burghele-Balacesco, 1965 from France and Romania is needed (O. Kurina pers. comm.).
