long); lateral flaps colorless with fimbriate margins. Flowers ∼

long, bright red; pedicel

long, very thin, almost hair-like. Stamens five. Ovary with 2 carpels and 2 short styles. Fruit an egg-shaped capsule, opening below middle. Seeds numerous, ∼
0.2 mm
long, brown.

Notes

Resembles
S. humifusum
except for the red flowers, the larger number of stamens and its perennial roots.
