Etymology.
The name is a patronym in honor of Izaura da Conceiç„o Magalh„es Muniz Maschiro (nicknamed “Iza”), assistant of the MPEG Arachnology Collection.
Diagnosis.
Males of
Falconina iza
sp. nov.
are similar to those of
F. catirina
sp. nov.
by the well-developed RTA median lobe and by the small, triangular dorsal lobe. They differ by the shorter sub-squared median lobe, with truncated apices (
Figs 17B
,
18B
), and by the large, prolaterally inserted lamelliform embolus, with a wide-spanned embolar process (
Figs 17A
,
18A
).
