Diagnosis.
This species closely resembles
S
.
(
S

langufoliacea
in the shape of male terminalia (as figs.
16–22 in
Wu
et al.
2010,
Fig. 15
), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the articulating plate of aedeagus (
aaed in Fig. 15C) with several minute, serrated processes along outer margin; aedeagus with several minute, serrated processes medially and some pubescence apically (Fig. 15B, C).
Description.
Male and female: First flagellomere entirely black. Clypeus yellow. Mesonotum brown, with 4 yellow longitudinal stripes posterolaterally (
Fig. 4A
). Katepisternum yellowish (
Fig. 4B
). Scutellum brown, yellow at tip (
Fig. 4A
). Halter brown basally, grey distally (
Fig. 4B
). Fore femur with a row of 7 or 8 strong setae on distal part of posteroventral surface. Abdominal tergites dark brown (
Fig. 4A, B
); sternites brown, about 2 times as wide as long. Male terminalia (
Fig. 15A–F
): Epandrium with
ca
. 14 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side (
Fig. 15A
). Surstylus slightly squared, with some minute, serrated processes on outer surface, 1 peg-like tooth (prensiseta in
McAlpine 1981
) and several setulae near distal margin, lacking pubescence (
Fig. 15A
). Cercus with much pubescence (
Fig. 15A
). Hypandrium slightly expanded anteromedially (
Fig. 15B, C
). Pregonite (paramere in
McAlpine 1981
) blurry or absent (
Fig. 15B, C
). Aedeagus subbasally expanded in ventral view, with 6 serrate-like processes per side (
Fig. 15B, C
). Aedeagal sheath (gonopod in
McAlpine 1981
) apically rounded and slightly dorsad curved, with several minute, serrated processes (
Fig. 15D, E
). Subepandrial sclerite slightly rounded distally (
Fig. 15F
). Female terminalia (
Fig. 15G–I
): Epiproct, cercus, and hypoproct with numerous setae and much pubescence (
Fig. 15G, I
). Eighth sternite mostly glabrous, with a few setae near posterolateral corner (
Fig. 15H
).
