Acalypha inaequilatera Cardiel (1994: 203) . Type : COLOMBIA . Boyacá : prope Muzo , without date, J. Goudot s.n. ( holotype K 600653 !, isotype P 635270 !) . Distribution:— America. Western South America: Colombia . References:— Cardiel (1995a: 40 , 1995b: 183 ), Govaerts et al. (2000: 68) , Murillo (2004: 187) . Notes:— This species is only known from the original Colombian collection by Justin Goudot, who collected in Colombia between 1822 and 1842 ( Cardiel 1995a: 10 ). The municipality of Muzo was overused for its emerald deposits and has been greatly deforested; thus, we do not rule out that the species could be extinct.
